Our Little Town

Our Little Town
Just another ordinary Friday night in our little town
Going out cruising in the cars just to see if anybody was hanging ‘round
I remember pulling up to a light, looking at the car just to my right
When I saw her face I knew I’d found my girl, right there, that night
So, I flagged her down into a gas station parking lot, asked her to come with me
I took her by the hand, put her in shotgun, and we hit the town, wild and free
I remember trying to think of something to say, some kind of foolish line
But it didn’t matter anyway, I could tell by the look in her eye she was going to be mine
I remember standing on her front porch, working up the nerve for that kiss goodnight
I can still see the look on her Mama’s face when she turned on that old porch light
It’s more than a memory, it’s kind of like a movie playing inside my head
When I think of that girl and that little town, and the feeling in my heart
When she first said “I love you”, in our little town
It was graduation day and we were all ready to take on the world, right then, that day
She took me by the hand, said “boy you better listen, cause there’s something important I’ve got to say
I remember I almost broke down and cried when she said, “I’m going to move away to school”
Then I thought to myself you’re going to lose this girl and if you let her go, then you’d be a fool
I remember standing on her front porch, shaking and begging that girl not to leave
I can still see the look on her Daddy’s face when I looked her in the eye and hit one knee
It’s more than a memory, it’s kind of like a movie playing inside my head
When I think of that girl and that little town, and the feeling in my heart
When she first said “I love you”, in our little town
Sometimes the times got a little hard
But we seemed to make it work as long as we were right here
In our little town
It seems like a million years ago, but I remember everything about you back then
There never was a time when I looked back with a single regret of how we started back when
I was standing there on your front porch, working up the nerve for that kiss goodnight
I can still see the look on your Mama’s face when she turned on that old porch light
It’s more than a memory, it’s kind of like a movie playing inside my head
When I think of that girl and that little town, and the feeling in my heart
When she first said “I love you”, in our little town
Yeah, in our little town
Yeah, in our little town

I Wish I Had A Girl

I Wish I Had A Girl
You can have your Cajun queens
Down in New Orleans
And take the movie stars
Who drive impress me more cars
Take your high class show and tell
Don`t need no modern day Jezebel
All I want, ain`t no lie
Check it out, Leroy
They breeze by
Chorus
Wish I had a girl who
Walked like that, ooh, yeah
Wish I had that girl, uh huh
Wish I had a girl who
Walked like that, yeah
Wish I had that girl, yeah
You can have your socialites
Mmm, caviar, honey, champagne nights
Me, I`ll take the nine to five stuff
Oh, and I`ll tell you what
Me, I`ll take what I can now
So you know it`s hard to understand
Not all it takes to satisfy
Check it out, Leroy, they breeze by
Chorus
Well, I wish I had a girl like that
And I`d take her home and
Walk her all night long, yeah
Solo
Chorus

Somebody's Cryin'

Somebody’s Cryin’
I saw the difference of opinion
I should’ve seen it all along
As my words turn into pages
Pages slowly fade into the words of other songs
At that time I say forgive me
For I know not what’s to come
If there’s something left in me
Something to belive
Then I won’t be afraid to run
Chorus
Somebody’s cryin’, hiding from the light
Somebody’s hoping, hoping there’s a chance, that you can make it through the night
Somebody’s cryin’, and they see you through eyes that used to shine so bright
Somebody’s cryin’, and there’s no end in sight
Now we’ve come to our decision
But it can’t be made along
If the blame should fall on me
I know I can see another road that leads back home
Chorus
Solo
Chorus
Somebody’s cryin’, and there’s no end in sight

Ride Into The Sunset

Ride Into The Sunset
The world seems so different looking through my windshield
It should only take a few thousand more miles before my heart’s healed
Cause I don’t know where I’m going, and I don’t know where I’ve been
I keep on living this life I’ve been given, hope I never hurt like this again
Chorus
I wanna ride into the sunet
I wanna drive with the wind in my hair
Keep rolling down this open road, breathe in that summer air
I wanna ride into the sunset, and hope that you’re there
This wasn’t your life, I guess you’ve always known
So you headed out west just to see if you could make it on your own
Now I’m running behind you, and I can’t see where you’ve gone
The faster I go, it still seems so slow, but It keeps me holding on
Chorus
Solo

What If She Does

What If She Does
You never thought she’d walk out
And leaver her in that empty house
Wondering where in the world to go now
You don’t think she’ll ever recover
From that bitterness, heartache, and hunger
And pick herself back up
But what if she does
Chorus
What if she puts her lipstick and makeup on
Twirls around in that little red dress she bought
Ready to make that small town Saturday night her own
What it she shines as bright as a Texas sky
Lights up a brand new cowboy’s eyes
You don’t think she’ll fall in love
But what if she does
She didn’t know your reasons
She kept her heart still beating
Waiting for you to come back around
You don’t think she’ll ever discover
How to find happiness, kindness, and comfort
In the arms of another love
But what if she does
Chorus
Solo
What if she lets that cowboy take her out
And brings her back to that empty house
You don’t think what’s done is done
But what if she does
You don’t think she’ll fall in love
But what if she does

She Ain't You

She Ain’t You
Driving downtown just last week
A dark haired angel pulled up next to me
You got all mad before I couldn’t turn to see
I took a peek, now I’m getting the third degree
Chorus
I don’t know what all the fuss is, why you gotta be so blue
She ain’t my type cause she ain’t you
Hanging down at the docks just the other day
A blue eyed honey, she got to looking my way
I looked at her and you slapped my right in the head
I may be with you but baby I’m not dead
Chorus
I don’t know what all the fuss is, why you gotta be so blue
She ain’t my type cause she ain’t you
You know just how good our love is, and you know my heart is true
She ain’t my type cause she ain’t you, no she ain’t you
Hanging down at Tony’s just last night
A red haired cutie got up and asked me to dance
Before I had a chance to do what’s right
You bitch slapped that girl, she didn’t have a chance
Chorus
